New Arrival! Meet Sweet Voyage, known around the barn as Calypso — a stunning mare who recently retired from the track and is ready to begin her next chapter.
Calypso is currently on stall rest while recovering from a sesamoid fracture in her left fetlock and is just beginning her journey of rehabilitation and retraining. Our team is working closely with our veterinary partners to determine the best path forward for her recovery and future training.
 
Around the barn, Calypso adores her horse friends and brings plenty of charm along with a touch of classic “sassy mare” attitude. Since she is still settling in, we’re taking the time to get to know her while allowing her the quiet space she needs to heal.
 
At this time, Calypso is seeking a knowledgeable adopter who understands the importance of patience and support during the recovery process. She would do best in a calm, consistent environment where she can continue healing while building trust and confidence with her person. Updates on her long-term soundness and riding potential will be shared as we learn more about her progress.

Adoption Home Level: Intermediate

This adopter has spent a good amount of time around horses—through lessons, mentorship, or hands-on experience—and feels confident handling and caring for them independently. They’re comfortable riding at all gaits (walk, trot, and canter), and can lunge or round pen a horse with ease. They also have some experience with less-seasoned or “greener” horses, especially when working with support from a trainer.
