”Jazzy” is a beautiful and happy mare who’s thriving after overcoming some significant challenges. When she first arrived at the Center, Jazzy had a painful case of uveitis that led to vision loss in her left eye. Her eye was removed, and she has made a full recovery.
Jazzy is back in groundwork training and continues to make progress. While she can be spooky to sudden sights, sounds, and touch due to her missing eye, she absolutely enjoys being groomed and has a gentle spirit. Jazzy is best suited for a trainer-type home with someone who can take things slow and help her build confidence as she learns to navigate her world.
Due to chronic lameness, Jazzy is available as a companion only, but she’s sound and happy in the pasture. With a patient and experienced trainer, she will continue to thrive and gain confidence in both herself and her handler.

This adopter has extensive hands-on experience with horses, often gained through years of riding, training, and formal education. They're confident working with green, unstarted, or more challenging horses on their own and have a strong grasp of advanced riding, care, and management—including supporting horses with special medical needs. They may even work professionally as a trainer, rider, instructor, or equine caregiver.
