Jazz N Glory (Red)
2006 15.1 HH Chestnut Tennessee Walking Horse Mare
Registered as Jazz N Glory but affectionately called Red, this mare is already making a wonderful impression with her sweet and gentle nature.
Red is available as a non-riding companion due to a diagnosis of grade 3 neurological symptoms and Degenerative Suspensory Ligament Desmitis (DSLD). She is kind, quiet, and easy to handle, but will need a home with an adopter experienced in managing both neurological conditions and DSLD.
True to her easygoing personality, Red is very food-motivated and enjoys attention from her people. Because she spent much of her life on rocky terrain with very little grass, Red has developed a sensitivity to pasture and will do best in a dry-lot style turnout. She is also an easy keeper on hay, currently maintained on ½ scoop of Hallway Feeds Encompass™, and she does not wear shoes.
Red arrived at the Center with her longtime companion, Carl. While Red is comfortable leaving Carl, Carl becomes anxious when he is separated from her. Because of their strong bond, we would love to see them adopted together if possible.
Curious yet cautious in new situations, Red approaches life with a thoughtful and gentle demeanor. She would thrive in a calm home where she can enjoy companionship, good care, and plenty of attention.

Adoption Home Level: Intermediate
This adopter has spent a good amount of time around horses—through lessons, mentorship, or hands-on experience—and feels confident handling and caring for them independently. They’re comfortable riding at all gaits (walk, trot, and canter), and can lunge or round pen a horse with ease. They also have some experience with less-seasoned or “greener” horses, especially when working with support from a trainer.
