Primrose came to us through animal control in January 2025 as part of a neglect case. Despite her difficult start, she quickly settled in and revealed a bold, curious personality. Affectionate and companion-oriented, she is truly an “in-your-pocket” kind of horse who would happily follow you around all day.
 
Primrose has confirmed moon blindness (chronic uveitis). Her blue eyes make her especially sensitive to light, and her condition is currently managed with a prescription fly mask and medicated eye treatments administered three times a week.
 
She has begun groundwork training and is already making encouraging progress. While she can be a bit pushy at times, she is learning to respect personal space and respond appropriately to pressure and release. Her riding potential has not yet been determined, but she shows promise and will benefit from a patient, experienced adopter who can continue her training at a thoughtful pace.
 
Primrose is currently barefoot and does best on a dry lot to help manage her weight. She thrives in a social environment and would do best in a home where she can enjoy the company of other horses while continuing to build a strong bond with her humans.

This adopter has extensive hands-on experience with horses, often gained through years of riding, training, and formal education. They're confident working with green, unstarted, or more challenging horses on their own and have a strong grasp of advanced riding, care, and management—including supporting horses with special medical needs. They may even work professionally as a trainer, rider, instructor, or equine caregiver.
