2025 Chestnut Thoroughbred Filly
 
"Pixie" is a bright young filly who arrived at our facility in July 2025 alongside her mother, Forever Candy, after both survived a severe neglect situation. Since then, Pixie has been weaned and is continuing to grow and develop in our care.
 
She has recently begun groundwork training and is learning about the world around her. Like many young horses, Pixie can be a bit jumpy when encountering new things, but with consistent handling, she is steadily gaining confidence. She stalls well and does not experience separation anxiety, which has helped her settle nicely into her daily routine.
 
Because of the lack of proper nutrition early in life, our veterinarians expect Pixie may be stunted in her growth, and she will likely be best suited for low-impact work once fully mature. For now, the focus is on supporting her healthy development. She currently receives 6 quarts of Hallway Feeds Edge 14® daily to meet her nutritional needs.

This adopter has extensive hands-on experience with horses, often gained through years of riding, training, and formal education. They're confident working with green, unstarted, or more challenging horses on their own and have a strong grasp of advanced riding, care, and management—including supporting horses with special medical needs. They may even work professionally as a trainer, rider, instructor, or equine caregiver.
