Miss Grace

2006 14.2HH Dark Bay Kentucky Mountain Horse Mare
Miss Grace is a food-motivated mare with a naturally curious personality. She enjoys exploring her surroundings and likes to test boundaries, but she’s making steady progress with her ground manners and thrives on a consistent routine. She loves her stall and is currently stalled at night and turned out to pasture during the day.
Because she can become easily overwhelmed, Miss Grace would do best in a calm environment with a patient, experienced handler who can work with her at her own pace. She shows interest in obstacles and benefits from gentle, confidence-building activities.
She is currently on Prascend and Thyro-L to manage her Cushing’s, as well as a daily dose of Equioxx. She also receives 1 pound of McCauley’s M-30 feed each day. She experiences some unsoundness due to fibrotic myopathy.
Miss Grace is seeking a non-riding home with someone who can offer her the time, space, and care she needs to continue growing in confidence and enjoy a peaceful life.

Adoption Home Level: Intermediate
This adopter has spent a good amount of time around horses—through lessons, mentorship, or hands-on experience—and feels confident handling and caring for them independently. They’re comfortable riding at all gaits (walk, trot, and canter), and can lunge or round pen a horse with ease. They also have some experience with less-seasoned or “greener” horses, especially when working with support from a trainer.
