Meet Prince, a handsome young colt born at the Kentucky Equine Adoption Center in May 2026. His mother, Vicki, arrived through an animal control case in January, and shortly after her arrival, we discovered she was expecting a foal.
 
Prince has had the opportunity to grow up safe, healthy, and loved from the very beginning. With Vicki by his side, he is growing stronger, exploring the world around him, and developing his own personality.
 
As he grows, Prince will be introduced to age-appropriate handling and groundwork to give him a strong foundation for the future. He will need an experienced adopter who is prepared to continue his education with patience and consistency as he matures. His future under saddle potential will be evaluated as he gets older.
 
Prince will be available for adoption once he is weaned from Vicki, which we expect will be in late 2026. Until then, he will continue learning, growing, and enjoying life alongside his mom as he prepares for an exciting future of his own.

This adopter has extensive hands-on experience with horses, often gained through years of riding, training, and formal education. They're confident working with green, unstarted, or more challenging horses on their own and have a strong grasp of advanced riding, care, and management—including supporting horses with special medical needs. They may even work professionally as a trainer, rider, instructor, or equine caregiver.
