Meet Fast Forward – a thoughtful Thoroughbred with tons of potential! Fast Forward is a striking young gelding who’s settling in beautifully and showing great promise as a sensitive and responsive partner. While a bit shy and reactive to sudden movements, he shines with gentle, consistent handling and builds trust quickly. He’s incredibly light and responsive on the ground—almost floating on air—and is steadily gaining weight and confidence every day. His progress reflects his intelligence, willingness, and desire to connect.
 
Fast Forward has some ossification (excess bone growth) on the front of his left front fetlock, which causes arthritis and occasional unsoundness. He is currently managed with daily Equioxx and wears glue-on shoes in front and steel nail-ons behind, due to thin soles and delicate hoof walls that can’t support front nail-ons. 
 
He has been lightly restarted under saddle and is doing well with groundwork. He would do best with an experienced, patient trainer—especially someone familiar with the sensitivity of off-track Thoroughbreds. Fast Forward thrives on routine, enjoys attention, and loves being around people—he’s very much an “in-your-pocket” type of horse.
 
With the right home, Fast Forward has potential for a career in dressage, trail riding, or other light-impact, flatwork-based disciplines.

Adoption Home Level: Intermediate
 
This adopter has spent a good amount of time around horses—through lessons, mentorship, or hands-on experience—and feels confident handling and caring for them independently. They’re comfortable riding at all gaits (walk, trot, and canter), and can lunge or round pen a horse with ease. They also have some experience with less-seasoned or “greener” horses, especially when working with support from a trainer.
