"Dixie" is a smart, athletic off-the-track Thoroughbred with a heart full of potential. Sensitive to her rider's energy and seat, she responds best to calm, quiet handling and thrives on consistency. She is a quick learner with a strong desire to connect with her rider and build a trusting partnership.
 
Dixie enjoys having a purpose and excels in a thoughtful, structured training program. She is well suited for an experienced rider who appreciates a sensitive horse and is interested in dressage or another low-impact discipline where they can continue to grow together.
 
Dixie is a moderate keeper and currently receives 2.5 scoops of Hallway Feeds Quantify® daily. She currently wears front nail-on shoes, benefits from monthly chiropractic care to stay comfortable under saddle, and prefers a bitless English bridle. She is on 24-hour pasture turnout with a small herd of mares and gets along well with her pasture mates.

This adopter has spent a good amount of time around horses—through lessons, mentorship, or hands-on experience—and feels confident handling and caring for them independently. They’re comfortable riding at all gaits (walk, trot, and canter), and can lunge or round pen a horse with ease. They also have some experience with less-seasoned or “greener” horses, especially when working with support from a trainer.
