New arrival! Dakota is a sweet, affectionate gelding who loves attention and would make a wonderful companion for the right home. This cuddle bug enjoys being around people and has a gentle personality that makes him a pleasure to spend time with.
 
Dakota is currently barefoot and is being evaluated by our veterinary team for soundness concerns. There is a possibility of rotation in his coffin bone, and he is not currently pasture sound. While we continue working toward a diagnosis and determining the best way to manage his needs, Dakota is living on a dry lot to help limit sugar intake. He currently receives ½ scoop of Hallway Feeds Encompass™ once daily.
 
Because of his current soundness concerns, Dakota is available as a non-riding companion. If you're looking for a sweet horse to love and care for, Dakota may be the special companion you've been waiting for.

This adopter feels confident handling horses on the ground and can groom, tack up, and take care of basic needs on their own. They’re comfortable riding a gentle, well-trained horse at a walk, trot, and canter without supervision. They may also have some experience with groundwork, like lunging or working in the round pen.
