Cyclone
2024 13.3 HH Black Appalachian Brumby Filly
ADOPTED!
Cyclone is a charming young filly rescued from the feral herds of eastern Kentucky, and she’s already proving to be full of personality and enthusiasm for life—especially when food is involved! She is often the first to greet you in the field and will happily follow you wherever you go, making her a fun and engaging horse to spend time with.
Her friendly, curious nature means she enjoys being around people, but she’s still learning about boundaries so she can channel her excitement respectfully. Cyclone can sometimes try to be a bit of a boss mare, so she will do best with an adopter who appreciates her bold personality while maintaining clear expectations and consistent training.
Cyclone’s training is progressing well. She has already worn a saddle, bit, and surcingle, and continues to approach new experiences with curiosity and willingness. She ties well, picks up her feet, and has been excellent for the farrier. She also enjoys a rinse with the hose and accepts fly spray and fly masks without any trouble.
Though she is gaited, Cyclone has also trotted and cantered freely in the field, and her trainer can encourage either direction as her training continues. She is currently maintained on 2 scoops of Hallway Feeds Edge 14® daily to support her growth and development.
Because she is young and still early in her training, Cyclone will require a confident, experienced adopter who understands the needs of developing horses. With her intelligence, energy, and eagerness to learn, Cyclone has a bright future ahead and is ready to grow alongside the right person.
